This week we have had the boys from North london with us, Tim, Tom, Steve and Jon on an activity week to remember. We started with kayaking in Cardiff Bay, the site were amazing and the weather was fantastic for the day. We paddled around the bay all morning and then stopped off for lunch.
The boys then headed off to porthcawl to climb in an area called box bay, a beautifull crag of the cliff face in porthcawl which is only accessable when the tide is out. The lads stayed ther untill the early evening and then headed off for their night in Porthcawl. After the days activities though I think they were in for an early night.
The following day we were up early again and heading out to Ogmore by sea to do some serious coasteering, with the option of surfing if the conditions were not right. We got suited up in our wetsuits, helmets, Bouyancy aids and all the gear we needed and headed off to the cliff face. Unforetunately the swell and the wind had picked up so we decided to head off surfing.
After catching a few waves we then headed off to the Gorge walking area for a big days gorgewalking, the conditins were perfect, the river was just the right hieght and the water flowing perfectly. So we jumped in and set off down the river. it was great fun jumping, crawling, diving, climbing we had it all. The boys though it was fantastic.
After all the exitement the boys set off back home heading towards cardiff, then to Newport and off to the Big old smoke dreaming of the beauty that south wales had to offer. Check out the pictures of the boys on Quest adventures Porthcawl, Facebook.
