Well how do we work this one out? the weather really is a mixed bag, BIG Westerly winds, Big Swells, High Rain Fall you name it we got it. The Rivers are running well but very unpredictable with levels fluctuating so Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling and Canyoning should only be under taken with extreme caution and under expert supervision, any rain fall could add to the danger of already swollen rivers, especially in pontneathfeccan and in the western brecon regions.
Coasteering is a BIG FAT NO again, sorry guys and gals but its just TOO DANGEROUS even for us hardend professional, cant even get the jet ski out to get onto the slabs.
However Surfing could be good on sheltered areas again such as Coney Beach in Porthcawl, 30 minutes from Cardiff City Center and possibly Langland and Caswell Bay in Swansea, this will be dependant on the wind and the tide which is at 3.30pm today, best surf when bays get sheltered and with tide, 1pm onwards to keep an eye on.
Kayaking for the Hardcore is looking good on the rivers but not the sea unless your super good or super mad, again the brecons should be flowing in the right way for you big players.
In all be careful and keep an eye out at all times, realise your ability and limitations.
