Following an influx of rain the rivers have started to pick up across the South Wales region, ushering in more adrenaline filled adventures in the Mellte Gorge and heightening the excitement of the Activities across Cardiff and South Wales. The increase in river levels allows the river to flow faster and allows you to really pit yourselves against the elements, The waterfalls will be stronger, making the sheep dip (head under a waterfall) and waterfall jumps more exiting. The upcoming groups have a lot to look forward to.
Canyoning is an activity that only a hand full of countries in the world can engage in. In Wales we are lucky enough to have a the perfect conditions in our Gorges to get clients deep within the mix of these natural wonders. We are always at the mercy of the river, man will never be able to master nature but we can tame it to an extent. So as instructors we are able to tame the river, keeping you safe and allowing you to use them for your enjoyment.
The Coasteering in Ogmore (located between Cardiff and Swansea), has been amazing this year and we hope to take more groups up soon as this is the best season. The sea is the warmest it will be all year!
Being in the University of York on my Chemistry course currently I find myself missing all the wonders that I took for granted in Wales. The Gorges really aren't anywhere else, the coastline is perfect for Coasteering, I can only hope that Scarborough is as good as I've been told so I at least can Surf there!!
