We have had great weather so far this summer all for sun bathing, swimming, playing on the beach however not great for the rivers and the Gorges. But finally the rain came on Friday and Saturday and is forecast for the rest of this week. Now people may think it is a little bit strange to want rain in the summer but we love it the more rain the better the Gorge.
The waterfalls are in full flow, the rivers are racing through the canyon it truly is a spectacular sight and we have groups joining us from all over the country enjoying the environment in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
This week we have been host to several Scout groups from across the UK including Mark and his merry bunch and Helen and the Brighton Scout group. We were with them on the Sychryd Gorge in the Brecon Beacons for a fantastic two day event.
This weekend we have 3 separate groups our Stag Activity Weekend in Cardiff Group is with James and the lads, they are with us on Saturday morning nice and early for their Canoning activity they will be with us for their briefing and get suited up. Instructors for the day will be Lee, Ray and Jarrod and as mentioned the rivers are flowing so we are in for some great fun and games. They are being picked up in the morning by the coach company so hopefully not to many drinks on their Stag night out in Cardiff.
Also on the Saturday morning we have Rhianon and Stephanie with two groups of girls down for the weekend in South Wales Gorge Walking. They will be with us mid afternoon for the meet and greet and getting prepared for their wet and wild fun Gorge Walking with Greg their instructor.
On the same weekend we also have Peter and the boys from Reading who will be Coasteering and Surfing over the weekend, we will be meeting on the wonderfull Coastline of South Wales for a great days activity in the Sea and the Surf.
