The sun is shining again but the weather is definitely not warm, the Easter weekend has been fantastic though for Gorge Walking, Canyoning and Gorge Scrambling here in South Wales. We have had dry periods and spells of rainfall so the waterfalls and rivers are flowing. The levels are around the normal mark of .2 meters in the rivers accross the South Wales region close to Cardiff and Swansea, so all levels are acceptable for Gorge activities.
The water is still cold though so do not be fooled and make sure you have the right aquatic personal protection for the environment.
Could be a good week again for Coasteering near Cardiff and Swansea, the swell is small and the tide is right in the morning around the high 9am onwards, must keep an eye on the wind though, could have an affect on wind chop and the temperature with the wind making the temperature drop.
Water temperatures in the sea will still be fairly cold, so good thermal protection is required despite the nice weather we're forecast. Full safety equipment and an experienced guide are a must as always and you must never attempt any Coasteering activity without them.
Surfing conditions in South Wales area are not too good, the swell has dropped and the wind is variable throughout the region, might be an idea to get your paddleboards out and go for a play on the early morning tides. Again watch the temperatures especially with the wind.
We are definitely now in full flow with our groups, stag parties, hen parties, family staying in Cardiff, South Wales and across the region. We have been Canyoning with Jon and the lads on their stag weekend in Cardiff, Kayaking with Muhammed and the boys on a stag weekend in Cardiff Bay, Sarah on her Hen party in Swansea gorge walking in the brecon beacons and junior gorge walking with the gang staying in Merythr Tydfill.
In all a fantastic weekend of adventure and activities here in South Wales and were still only at the beginning of the week,
