River levels are good to high currently in the Brecons so all of our Gorge Walking and Canyoning will be challenging but should be able to run across the weekend. The ground will be saturated so the waterfalls will be flowing well and constant.
The weather is looking promising, particularly on Sunday so anybody whose taking part in our activities should be in for a great time. Full safety equipment will be required as always and make sure you only enter the water if you are with an experienced guide. Whilst the forecast is looking good, if we do get any significant rainfall in the mountain areas you'll need to keep a close eye on the river levels and be aware of the risk of flashing.
UPDATEN - Gorge Walking and Canyoning activities in South Wales
The weather has stayed fine through the week and conditions on the gorge walking activities are good, there is rain expected which will raise the rivers and bring possible debris in the Gorge area, caution as always must be taken
If we're going to get acceptable conditions for our Coasteering activities to run then Sunday looks to be the most likely day. Swell could drop to an acceptable level and the wind should be very mild.
Temperatures should be fairly mild but you'll still need to ensure you have the correct thermal protection, particularly with the current water temperatures. Full safety gear will be required, as always. If the swell doesn't drop to an acceptable level then conditions are looking to be really good for both Gorge Walking and Canyoning so you can always come and join us up in the Brecons.
Saturday could see some really good surfing conditions along the South Wales coast. Swell should be around the 5ft - 8ft mark and the wind is pretty gentle so wax up those boards and get yourself to the beach.
The usual spots in South Wales, such as Rest Bay in Porthcawl or Caswell Bay in Swansea will provide you with really good conditions but Porthcawl is looking to be the best spot this weekend.
Once again we've got a full program this weekend with Hen Parties and Stag Do’s from across South Wales, including Cardiff, Swansea and Porthcawl joining us for a number of activities, including Gorge Walking, Canyoning and some surfing.
Once their outdoor activities are finished we'll be helping to ensure they make the most of everything Cardiff and Swansea have to offer in the evenings, with transport, meals and some nightlife all things we can help arrange for you.
