Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons Conditions Report 26th March 2023 - River levels are high at the moment and there has been rain overnight, Canyoning would be unsuitable at the moment on the higher waterfalls in Clyn Gwyn and Ystradfellte. Lower level gorges on the Sychryd river and Mellte river are looking more suitable but still high. Rain is due through the week and the land is saturated with water so Canyoning, Gorge walking and Canyoning may not be suitable for the next few days. River levels must be assessed constantly to make sure there are safe water levels in the region for the events. The weather is very changeable at the moment and needs to be assessed continuously, sea conditions should also be monitored constantly. Conditions may be better in West Wales in sheltered areas. The sea conditions will only be suitable mainly 2 - 3 hours before the high tide and 1 hour after high tide.
