River levels have been very high but there has been no rain through the night and the river levels have dropped. Canyoning would be unsuitable at the moment on the higher waterfalls in Clyn Gwyn and Ystradfellte, this should change ovefr the next few days as river levels drop to a manageable state.. Lower level gorges on the Sychryd river and Mellte river are looking more suitable but still high. Low rain is due through the week and the land is saturated with water so Canyoning, Gorge walking and Canyoning may should be suitable for the next few days. River levels must be assessed constantly to make sure there are safe water levels in the region for the events. Coasteering Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl, South Wales predicted weekly report 02nd April 2023 - Coasteering conditions are not looking suitable possibly until the weekend this week. More consistent swell through the week again this week. The swell will be dropping on certain days especially towards the weekend. For another week the coasteering conditions would not be suitable due to big swells. The weather is very changeable at the moment and needs to be assessed continuously, sea conditions should also be monitored constantly. Conditions may be better in West Wales in sheltered areas. The sea conditions will only be suitable mainly 2 - 3 hours before the high tide and 1 hour after high tide.
