WEATHER - Autumnal weather is upon us this week a lot of wind and rain through the week and temperatures averaging 12 - 15 degrees. Winds will be high on certain days and from all directions. The highest winds will be on Saturday and Sunday with 30 mph+ Westerly winds. Also strong South Easterly winds on Thursday and Friday upto 26 mph. Wind drops slightly on Monday but picking up again on Tuesday and Wednesday. All in all a very changeable week of weather ahead. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2648385?day=2) (https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcjqmsw80
RIVER LEVEL and TEMPERATURE - .36 meters high and 7 Degrees (http://rloi.naturalresources.wales/ViewDetails?station=4121)
EXPECTED RIVER LEVEL OVER NEXT 72 HOURS - .36 meters - .8 meters
GORGE WALKING, CANYONING, GORGE SCRAMBLING CARDIFF AND SWANSEA PREDICTED REPORT - River levels were high on the weekend but have dropping since Sunday. Now levels monitored on the Mellte River have dropped to .36 meters from over 1.5 meters. There is rain throughout the week which again will increase the river levels and water flow. The next couple of days should be good for all gorge walking, gorge scrambling and Canyoning events. As always the Canyoning will be the first to be cancelled due to higher river levels but hopefully Gorge walking and Gorge scrambling will be acceptable through the week. There will be an update on conditions checking the river levels.
WIND - Very changeable winds over the next few days, Thursday will see high 26 mph Easterly and then the next few days will mainly be Westerly with strong winds up to 35 mph. The winds will then drop on Monday to 17 Westerlies and then back up again to stronger Southerly winds. So very inconsistent in direction and generally strong and gusting.
SEA STATE and SWELL - The days that will see the calmest sea state will be the days with the Easterly winds coming offshore, calmer days will be Thursday and Tuesday. The rest of the days especially Friday Saturday and Sunday will have high Westerly winds and hugh swells therefore the seas will be rough on these days.

COASTEERING CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, CARMARTHEN PREDICTED WEEKLY REPORT - Coasteering is out this week with high winds and huge swells causing a very rough sea state and unsuitable conditions for coasteering across South Wales. Winds on certain days will be offshore but there will still be big swells making conditions volatile. May start to drop next week towards Thursday.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES UPDATE 24TH OCTOBER 2019 - Again stormy week ahead with strong winds, heavy rain and big sea swells, canyoning and coasteering are looking vulnerable, Gorge walking and gorge scrambling are looking good as long as the rain does not get too heavy. We have a stag event from cardiff organised by Jordan coming to us for their swift water event. We shall keep monitoring the conditions daily.
