GORGE WALKING, GORGE SCRAMBLING, CANYONING CONDITIONS REPORT 19TH DECEMBER 2019 - High water levels on the Mellte river at the moment and not looking to drop for the next few days. Rain will be persistent through the weekend into next week. This will mean no canyoning or gorge scrambling but may be a possibility of swift water gorge walking depending on the river levels through the week. Monitoring the rainfall and the river levels will be a priority and taking extreme caution if thinking of entering into the rivers. Levels may drop on Tuesday but back up again on Wednesday.
WIND - High winds again this week predominantly from the West, winds will reach up to 33 mph on Sunday from the West. There will also be strong Southerly winds on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday swinging West to South . The wind will drop on Wednesday to a gently Easterly 5 mph.
SEA STATE and SWELL - Very choppy seas all through the week with strong Westerly and Southerly winds and huge swells and surf along the channel. The roughest day will be Sunday with 32 mph Westerly winds and 20 foot swells causing very rough sea state. Wednesday may be perfectly calm after the storm with smaller swells and gently off shore winds.

COASTEERING CARDIFF, SWANSEA, PORTHCAWL, CARMARTHEN PREDICTED WEEKLY REPORT - Another bad week for coasteering with very high winds, huge swells and surf, rough and choppy sea state all causing bad conditions for coasteering all along the South Wales coastline. There is a break on Wednesday 25th December with smaller swells and perfect light Easterly offshore winds.
