Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons Conditions Report 14th April 2021 - Rivers are still low across the South wales region close to Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl. The Mellte and Sychrd rivers are in low flow with the constant dry weather and are acceptable for all gorge activities. Gorge walking, gorge scrambling and Canyoning are all fully acceptable. The lock downs are starting to lift and adventures back in the mountains and the rivers. The water temperature as always is very low so full thermal protection will be required.
