Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons Conditions Report 12th February 2022 - Rivers are running at the medium levels at the moment with rain on and off through the week and river levels on the Mellte close to Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl, Brecon Beacons, Bridgend are 0.353 meters. This level is good for Gorge Walking / Canyoning / Gorge Scrambling throughout the South Wales region. Rain is forecast on Saturday , heavy on Sunday and through the week on and off. This would mean that the rivers may get too high for the events especially the Canyoning events on the top River Mellte Gorge. River levels must be assessed constantly to make sure there are safe water levels in the region for the events.
