October is here and the sun is still shining, but not to worry the rain and the wind we soon be with us soon and that means that the rivers and the surf will be bulging to their limit which is fantastic news. It has been quite a barren spell for the rivers with very little rain fall so the Gorge Walking activities and the Canyoning have taken on a different tilt.
We have still had amazing times with our groups including Stag groups, youth groups, corporate parties and Hen parties, last week we had groups from accross the spectrum including Richard and the lads on their Stag weekend in Cardiff and Clare and the guys from EB on their corporate weekend Canyoning and Surfing.
So the summer may be behind us but fun times are definitely ahead, from now on we will be giving a Surf, River, Mountain and conditions report for the weekends on a Thursday so watch out to see the conditions for your activities, so you can make sure of making the most of your adventures.
CONDITION FORECAST FOR 4TH AND 5TH OCTOBER
This weekend the wind and the rain is coming in but a little unpredictable, there are BIG winds forecast for Saturday and Sunday which are bringing big blown out swells for the Surfers, there will be waves to catch but beach selection is essential as the wind is turning north, to west, to south through out the weekend, all good fun though, we have got afternoon tides at 3pm but at 8.6 meters so best times should be 11am onwards on porthcawl beaches.
The rain is supposed to be coming in hard over Saturday morning then Sunday, which is good news for the rivers the Mellte and the Sychyrd should be receiving some welcome rain at last to get the rivers flowing which will be good for Canyoning and Gorge Walking on both rivers. Coasteering conditions are looking bad though big wind and big swell will pretty much cancel out most sights.
