Weather has been a strange one this week, from terrential rain, to sunny skies, one thing is for certain this weekend we are in for alot of wind! Yes the forecast is for BIG southerly wind look on www.windguru.com they are predicting storm force winds especially on Sunday.
This means that its quite unpredicable out there for the surfing there will be a wave but quite blown out but the sea temperature is still up in the teens and you'll have nothing better to do so go to head over to Coney Beach in Porthcawl 30 minutes from Cardiff for a surf alternatively Llangenith in Swansea might be the best option if the wind stays Southerly.
Coasteering is a definately no go all across South Wales Region, Big swells and bigger winds means keep off the rocks and go for a surf or alternatively go up the mountains Gorge Walking or Canyoning even Gryl Scrambling in the Brecon Beacons its all good. With the heavy rain throughout the week the Gorges and the waterfalls are running perfectly but again you ill need someone experienced with you to guide you round. Kayaking is also looking good in the rivers with the high flow of water around.
So to summarise, Canyoning and Gorge Walking in the brecon Beacons are looking really good, Surfing across South Wales is Big and Blowy but definitely a wave around, high tide is 4ish but really small neap tides so should be something to play on all day and Coasteering no matter where you are is out of the question. Kayaking in the waterfalls with the river flow is good to go.
