PREDICTED 72 REPORT
River levels have dropped to .43 which is an acceptable level for gorge walking, canyoning, ghyll scrambling and will need to be closely assessed for the River Sychryd. Rain will be on and off through the week and the land is quite saturated so need to constanly check the river levels especially if getting up to the .5m levels. You'll still need to check river levels constantly and be aware of the local rainfall in the mountain regions that could lead to further flashing

SEA STATE AND SWELL - Swell Increases again across the weekend with up to 9 foot swells and high onshore winds (https://magicseaweed.com/Southerndown-Surf-Report/4321/)
HIGH TIDE - 11:23PM HEIGHT 7.63m METERS
PREDICTED 72 HOUR REPORT
It's going to be unlikely we'll be seeing any acceptable conditions along the South Wales coast for Coasteering this weekend. With strong winds and big swell you going to have to head inland for some Gorge Walking or Canyoning instead. Even the most sheltered bays will see conditions that are too volatile for running a Coasteering event this weekend. Again the best option maybe to head upto West Wales on sheltered sites in the region.

The swell will drop on Friday before picking up again over the weekend. The wind is going to be strong so you'll need to look towards the sheltered bays on the South Wales coast such as Caswell Bay in Swansea or Rest Bay in Porthcawl. The wind is making a huge difference with big onshores creating blown out messy surf accross the region effecting Surf and Coasteering conditions.
We're off into the Brecon Beacons again this weekend running a number of our Gorge Walking and Scrambling activities with groups from both Cardiff and Swansea. We'll be keeping a really close eye on river levels and rain fall to ensure we run the activities on the correct river for the conditions. If you're heading out it's vital that you are with experienced guides who know and understand the area and environment. As with all activities they are a risk and especially in these colder, wetter, stormier months all precautions should be taken, enjoy but be safe.
