Firstly our apologise for the report not being published last week, we were away on an expedition in Spain and were unable to access the internet in the wilds, we were also enjoying ourselves to much!
Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning near Cardiff, Swansea and South Wales: Current river levels are quite low, we could do with some rain, there should be rain coming in on friday and heavy on Sunday so this should pick the river levels up. the activities are still all good to go ahead, but need to make sure that the depth levels are good for jumps into the plunge pools. Mellte river will be working better than the Sychryd.
Coasteering near Cardiff, Swansea in South Wales - Now this could have been good and may still be OK towards the end of the week, the swell has picked up and so has the wind so we have to watch as always the wind, weather and tide as well as the swell. With the big swell protected areas will work better, possibly in West Wales. The exposed Cliffs of Ogmore and Caswell may be unsuitable due to the surf and wind conditions.
Surfing and Surf Kayaking - The water is warmer and the swell is quite big for the rest of the week so everything looking quite good for a good week of Surfing, must check the wind and tide though. The winds are starting to gust up and may cause the swell to blow out in certain areas, this may mean if the swell is big enough that the protected beaches of Coney in Porhcawl, Caswell in Swansea may be better options.
Events and Activities - We have a full programme again this week, Ian and Andy are with us Gorge Walking and Canyoning, they are both on their Stag weekends in Cardiff, Dyfedd, Mat and Paul will be looking after them for the events.
