Gorge Walking and Canyoning - Local to Cardiff and Swansea are both looking good, depending on the amount of rain over the next few days, the rivers are high accross South Wales and the Waterfalls and Flowing freely, any excessive rainfall may cause the rivers to flood the banks, initially in the Canyoning areas and then in the Gorge Walking Zone. At the moment conditions are perfect, high rivers, strong flow and waterfalls flowing to their peak.
We have our first Stag Party of the season on Friday Canyoning in the region on pontnethvaughn, conditions are looking perfect for the group who are staying in Cardiff for there Stag weekend of Fun and Games, if the river is to high however we will change to Gorge Walking as a safer option for the group.
Coasteering - Near Cardiff and also in Swansea again is a definite no go, the swell is far to big, so are the winds and the tides, there may be a window of opportunity in the week, but nothing I can predict at the moment, the weather is to volatile to predict.
Surfing - on Local beaches could be good but again we need to check the wind and the tide, there's a definite swell all week and conditions should be better on protected beaches such as Coney in Porthcawl, Langland in Swansea. They should be sheltered from the gusting wind and give the better wave
Kayaking - Across South Wales the rivers are running high so Kayaking is looking good for areas around Swansea, Cardiff and Newport, the sea however is very rough with strong winds and Big swells coming through.
