Canyoning and Gorge Walking around the Cardiff, South Wales and Swansea area are looking good again this week, the rivers are lower so the Kayaking is not as good but with the freezing weather the waterfalls are looking amazing. The area however is very slippy with the frozen ground and the water is cold so you need the right wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet, Gloves, hoods and footwear.
Coasteering near Cardiff and in Swansea mumbles area is looking good for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, the tides are the right height and the swell is low so the water should be perfect with low winds on these days. The tides are early mornings so its an early start to catch the tide. Again the right gear is needed with the sea temperature down to 7 degrees.
Surfing near Cardiff in Rest Bay, Coney Beach and Swansea in Llangenith, Caswell Bay, Langland Bay this week is not looking good the swell is low and any chance of swell is on Saturday and Sunday and the winds are very high which is going to make the conditions very testing and extremely cold so wrap up warm again Good 5mm suit, hood, gloves, thermal rash vest, boots and plenty of hot water in a flask to warm the extremities.
So wrap up and enjoy the Canyoning, Gorge Walking and Coasteering this week as they are the best options.
