Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning, Ghyll Scrambling near Cardiff, Swansea and South Wales: Rain, Rain and more Rain, the Indian summer is definitely over. Temperatures are still quite high and the rivers are in full flow which means Gorge Walking, Canyoning and Ghyll Scrambling are EPIC at the moment the conditions couldnt be better. Need to keep an eye on the weather though, rivers might start to get too flooded and make the activities un safe. Rain fall is on and off at the moment with just enough rain to let the rivers flow but not enough to raise the levels to high.
Coasteering near Cardiff, Swansea in South Wales - No point in really commenting on Coasteering this is simply a No GO!! Big winds, big Surf bad conditions, stay to surfing again this will definitely be a better option or head off the West Wales.
Surfing, Surf Kayaking and Paddle Boarding -The surf could be EPIC this week, warm waters still at 15 degrees and big swells, the only problem is the wind which may blow out certain breaks such as Rest Bay in Porthcawl near Cardiff and Llangenith near Swansea. Better beaches maybe Coney in Porthcawl and Caswell in swansea, check out windguru for the wind and weather conditions.
Events and Activities -Were definitely back up the mountains this week Canyoning and Gorge Walking, the are perfect at the moment. Karl will be with us on the Canyoning event on the lads Stag weekend in Cardiff and Mike is Staying in Swansea with the lads from the fire service Gorge Walking. We have also got groups paddle boarding and surfing through the week with the good Surf Conditions.
