Could actually be good this week, the winds are Easterly so offshore in most places and the swell is quite small and perfectly up to 2ft all major coasteering venues especially Barry near Cardiff, Ogmore By Sea, Southerdown, Caswell Bay Swansea an Mewslade. Could be good all round conditions for coasteering over the next few days in these regions especially the more protected areas facing westerly, the main issue will be the cold, it is going to be brutal, strong very cold winds feeling - 6 degrees on some days and bitterly cold sea, so if your brave enough to get in the water wrap up warm.

There is a clean but small swell accross the beaches close to Cardiff, Southern Down, Llantwit Major, Aberavon, Swansea, Llanllei, and upto Stackpole Quay. The big draw back is the Easterly wind being very strong and very cold, conditions will be messy on more Easterly facing beaches such as Coney in Porthcawl, head for the Westerly beaches and wrap up very warm.
Cardiff, Swansea & South Wales Group Outdoor Activities
Great conditions for gorge walking, canyoning, gore scrambling and coasteering this week but very cold, we shall definitely be wrapping up in our winter warmers, this will not however take away from Max and the lads on their stag weekend in Cardiff Coasteering, should be an epic event, with thrills, spills and definately chills.
