The water temperature is always low in the rivers so thermal protection is essential as always especially with the freezing cold surface temperatures.

Friday is looking a good day all round, good swell, warm weather, calm sea's, low wind and good tides so all beaches should be working, the rest of the week is a different matter, high winds, big swells, stormy seas, only protected South and South East beaches will have a chance of good surf, top tip is aim for Coney beach in Porthcawl and Caswell in Swansea.
Well the only thing we can predict for the next week is that its going to be unpredictable but great fun, the christmas and new Year time will bring in big Swells, big Surf, flowing rivers, stormy seas, and a great deal of fun and adventure. The best plan though is to keep safe, this time of year can bring exiting but turbulent natural conditions so enjoy the weather and the environment but with respect and caution. WHATEVER HAPPENS HAVE A FUN FILL, ADVENTUROUS AND SAFE CHRISTMAS.
