Conditions for gorge walking, gorge scrambling, ghyll scrambling and Canyoning are looking perfect in all regions across South Wales near Cardiff, Swansea, Neath region, the river levels are between .4 meters and .3 meters which is perfect for the canyon, the water as ever is very cold and so is the air temperature so good thermal protection is essential.

This is a tricky one again, the swell is large and consistent in all major coasteering venues especially Barry near Cardiff, Ogmore By Sea, Southerdown, Caswell Bay Swansea an Mewslade. So no coasterring in these regions for the next few days, however there is a lull into next week which may ring a window for coasteering, this is really dependant on the swell and wind so constant checks will be needed.

There is good swell throughout the region especially beaches close to Cardiff, Southern Down, Llantwit Major, Aberavon, Swansea, Llanllei, and upto Stackpole Quay. Again as always the wind will have a huge influence on the swell with strong South Westerly winds blowing on shore in many places facing West. The end of the week is looking good though with low winds and good swells.

Have to mention that last week we had one of the most epic Canyoning session in history, we completed the event with the river topping out at 1 meter high, the event had to be transferred from the upper Mellte river to the bottom Sychryd River but is was truly epic with the rivers in full flow, we had to team together to make the event and a word to Dyfed and Daniel the instructors for pulling the day off, we have some pictures on facebook but only ones we could take when the conditions were suitable.
