Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons Conditions Report 02nd May 2022 - Canyoning, Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, and all gorge activities are acceptable and suitable at the moment with low river levels after low rainfall over the past few days and any rainwater being saturated into the dry land or washing into the rivers. There is no significant rainfall predicted in the Cardiff, Swansea, Bridgend, Brecon Regions for the next few days and river levels will continue to stay low. River levels must be assessed constantly to make sure there are safe water levels in the region for the events. Coasteering Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl, South Wales predicted weekly report 02nd May 2022 - Coasteering definitely depends on the site and the region for the next few days. Exposed sites such as Ogmore by Sea and Caswell bay may not be suitable due to the predicted swell conditions however more protected areas such as Mewslade bay and around to Stackpole Quay would have more suitable conditions. The winds are aperfect and the swell is up to 3 foot which can affect more exposed areas in the South Wales region. Tides are early morning and into the evening, so either and early start or wait for the tide to come in later through the day. All sites are affected close to Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Camarthenshire, Ogmore by Sea. The sea conditions will be suitable mainly 2 hours before the high tide and 1 hour after high tide.
