Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Brecon Beacons Conditions Report 12th May 2021 - Definite change in the conditions over the last few days with heavy rain and hard river backs. The rivers have been high if not very high recently especially over the weekend. At the moment river levels are perfect for Gorge walking, Gorge scrambling and canyoning in the South Wales area close to Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl, Bridgend and the Brecon Beacons. With the flow at 0.44 meters on the Mellte river the events are good across the locality. There is rain due over the next few days so caution must be taken for all gorge events and river levels monitored constantly. The only possible days may be Thursday and Friday when the swell is less and the winds lighter but the other days are definitely looking unsuitable especially over the weekend.
