There is good rainfall and the rivers are in full flow at the moment. There may be an up swelling on the weekend with heavier rain predicted. Need to monitor river levels constantly.

Coasteering Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl, South Wales predicted weekly report 20th October 2020 - No coasteering anywhere on the South Wales coastline. Big swells, heavy winds will affect all the inshore areas adversely for the coasteering activity. There is no coasteering for the foreseeable future as the winds and swells and predominant over the next few days.

Open Water Swimming Cardiff, Swansea, Porthcawl, South Wales 20th October 2020 - Sea based wild swimming needs to take part in protected areas from West and South Winds. bays such as Newton in Porthcawl and Cold Knap in Barry would be good areas to swim. Rivers may be volatile with high rain and faster flowing rivers.
