Gorge Walking, Gorge Scrambling, Canyoning, Ghyll Scrambling near Cardiff, Swansea and South Wales: Where has the rain got? In August the rivers were flooded and extremely high, were now into Autumn and the rivers are bone dry. The waterfalls are merely a trickle, what on earth is happening?? With the low rivers you must watch out for extra hazards and the depths of plunge pools, we could definitely do with more rain over the next few days to pick the river levels up but for now the Canyoning and Gorge Walking events are accessible but a little on the dry side.
Coasteering near Cardiff, Swansea in South Wales - Now were talking, the coasteering conditions are PERFECT!! Easterly winds, 1-2 foot swell, early morning tides, water temperature 14 degrees, it really couldn't get any better. We are out with a group on Saturday morning bright and early at 7am to catch the morning tide and hoping that everything stays the way it is for the perfect Coasteering. All Coastal areas near Cardiff and Swansea will be working so get your trainers and your wetsuits on.
Surfing and Surf Kayaking -Now this is not looking good for the next few days, last weeks swell has dropped to a minimum and the wind has picked up Easterly and quite strong so the word is FLAT!! This is the time to get your paddle boards out and go and explore the coastline of South Wales.
Events and Activities - Definitely one of our best Coasteering weeks ahead so were wearing out trainers, wetsuits, BAs and Helmets and were off down to the cliffs for a good week of Coasteering. Our main group is with James and the lads on there Stag weekend in Cardiff, they will be with us on Sunday bright and early to catch the best tide and conditions. We also have Keeton and the guys Coasteering on Saturday and nice and early as they take in the sihjts of South Wales.
