Gorge Walking, Canyoning and Gorge Scrambling activities near Cardiff and Swansea in South Wales are looking very good for the next week, the rain has been consistent but not to heavy, the ground is saturated and the rivers are flowing. The terrain is looking perfect for all activities on the Gorge, but the water temperature as always is low so the right protection is needed as well as Buoyancy Aids, Helmets and the right foot wear.
Last weekend we had perfect conditions for the event with Sam and the lads with us on their Stag Weekend in Cardiff, they stayed in Cardiff Central on the Weekend and then went Zorb footballing on the Saturday Morning and with us Gorge Walking on the afternoon. We were called to the rescue however when a group of worse for wear walkers were caught stranded on the Gorge and needed assistance off the mountain.
Coasteering near Cardiff again is looking volatile again the Swell is quite large all week and so is the wind which can cause very bad conditions for the coasteering event. The best spots maybe near Swansea in the mumbles in caswell bay, this bay is more protected and offers better conditions for the event.
Surfing and Sea Kayaking are both looking good, the Swell is big and Consistant, the swell interval is also very good so as long as the wind holds back then the surf could be very good. What for the tide and the wind as this will decide the quality of the wave, also look for more protected beaches such as Coney in Porthcawl and Caswell in Swansea.
With conditions good for Gorge Walking, Canyoning and Surfing we will have a full weeekend of events, all the photos will be listed n our facebook site.
